Terms & Conditions
Last updated 31 July 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Edvanta ("Edvanta", "we", "us") is operated by Bruce Myers, an individual based in Texas, USA. By creating an account or using Edvanta you enter into an agreement with Edvanta on these terms.
2. Acceptance
By accessing or continuing to use Edvanta you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you are using Edvanta on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement in your country, or that a parent or guardian agrees on your behalf.
3. What Edvanta provides
Edvanta is an AI study workspace. You upload notes, homework photos and lecture recordings, and Edvanta generates study material from them: transcriptions, audio podcasts, flashcard and practice test PDFs, predicted exam questions, mind maps, study plans and adaptive drills. Features available to you depend on your plan and any active free trial.
4. Your account
- Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Accounts are created with a username and password. Adding and verifying an email is optional, but without one we cannot recover a forgotten password.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Edvanta. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or harassment.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to upload, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy.
- Record a teacher, class or other person where you are not permitted by law or by your school to do so.
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the service — no malware, probing, scraping, or circumventing plan limits or technical controls.
- Reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
6. AI content: acceptable use, accuracy and responsibility
Edvanta uses generative AI models to produce study material. You are responsible for what you put in and how you use what comes out.
- Prohibited: using the AI features to generate illegal content, hate speech, harassment, sexual content involving minors, deepfakes of real people, malware, or attempts to jailbreak or extract the underlying models.
- You are responsible for your prompts and uploads, for having the rights to the material you upload, and for verifying any output before you rely on it.
- AI output can be wrong. Generated answers, explanations, predicted exam questions and practice tests are study aids, not authoritative answers, and are not professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
- Using Edvanta must not breach your school's academic honesty rules. Homework explanations are provided to help you understand the reasoning — submitting them as your own work is your responsibility, not ours.
- You keep ownership of the material you upload and of the study material generated from it. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that material solely to provide the service to you.
- We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts where content breaches these terms.
- Rights-holders can request a takedown by contacting us; we act on valid complaints and terminate repeat infringers.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in Edvanta itself — the software, models integration, interface, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Edvanta within the plan you have selected.
8. Service level
We work to keep Edvanta available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and AI processing may be delayed or unavailable. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Plans, payment and subscriptions
Edvanta offers a free plan with limited monthly uploads, a time-limited all-access free trial for new accounts, and Edvanta Pro at $6 per month or $48 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from the billing portal.
Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing and cancellation mechanics are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. All sales are final and we do not offer refunds; see our Refund Policy for details.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using Edvanta at any time. When your access ends you may export your material for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Edvanta is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data, grades or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you upload, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and disputes are subject to the courts located in Texas. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms, and material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms, billing or your subscription: contact Edvanta through the support channel in the app. Payments are processed by Stripe.
